Safety Features
Three-wheel double strollers are more stable than four-wheel models designed for people who plan to jog and stroll. The reason is because they always have two wheels on the ground, while some four-wheelers can lift one wheel off the ground in order to negotiate the obstacles like curbs and other obstructions. The disadvantage is that three-wheelers are heavier, which could be a concern when weight is a factor.
Some 3-wheel strollers come with pneumatic (air-filled tire) tires. These are great for people who want to run or jog and prefer a more comfortable ride than the hard plastic wheels on some products.
